Library

The Morningstar library was dedicated to the service of Jesus Christ on March 26, 2000…..and it has grown and changed a lot since then.  If you were part of Morningstar when we met at Chelsea High School, you will remember those early days when the library consisted of two 5’ x 4’ shelves that could be latched together and rolled into a storage area after services on Sunday morning.  And…the shelves were far from being full!

Today, there is now a room dedicated for the library with over 2500 books, CD's and audio books for you and your family to use and enjoy.  Each book, CD and audio book has a unique ID in a database allowing for searches by author or title.

While the library has changed a great deal from those early days, its purpose for existing has not.  Its purpose is to introduce people to Christ, help people experience an authentic relationship with Christ, assist people in applying Christian love in their daily lives (you will recognize these as Morningstar’s purpose, too), and provide wholesome materials that include, but are not limited to, recreational, historical, and reference materials.

One thing the library is not is a book warehouse!  We invite you to come often and look over the shelves to discover treasures for yourself and your children.  If you are a Morningstar member or regularly attend, consider this your personal invitation to visit and use Morningstar’s library.
